Man charged in 2003 death
A 37-year-old man has been charged with murder in the 2003 Chaves County death of his then estranged wife, according to a press release from the 9th Judicial District attorney’s office.
According to the release:
Ramon Bravo, who was arrested Monday without incident, faces life in prison if convicted.
• Susan Amos-Bravo, 27, was found dead April 26, 2003, at her home in Roswell by family members.
• Amos-Bravo had asked her husband to sign divorce papers the day before she was found dead.
• 9th Judicial District Attorney Matthew Chandler was recently appointed as a special prosecutor in the case.
• Bravo will be arraigned in a 5th Judicial District Court within the next 10 days. He bond is $500,000 cash.
