ENMU's Terry second in calf roping

ODESSA, Texas — Eastern New Mexico Univeristy senior Payton Terry of Dora placed second in calf roping in the first go, short go and average over the weekend in the Odessa College Rodeo. Terry had times of a8.5 seconds in the first go and 8.8 in the short go for an overall tiime of 17.3 seconds.

In other ENMU results from the meet, freshman Loren Dougheerty split sixth with a time of 7.2 seconds in the first go of team roping; junior Auston Huntington and Forrest Elder were sixth in the average in team roping at 22.8 seconds, after splitting ninth and 10th in the first go and placing sixth in the short go; and freshman Odessa Yazzie took fifth in breakaway roping with an average time of 15.2.

ENMU rodeo teams return to action in the Western Texas College Rodeo at Snyder, from Friday through Sunday.
