Portales hosting family event

Freedom New Mexico

The Portales Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event to inform new residents about activities in the city.

The event will include information from the city, school system, library, and Eastern New Mexico University.

Free food will be served and activities will keep children entertained while residents learn about Portales.

The even is 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Memorial Building.
