Group offering reward for information in dog deaths

An Albuquerque animal rights group is offering a $5,000 reward for information about the deaths of six dogs in northwest Clovis.

Police believe all died from an undetermined toxin.

Four dogs were found Feb. 2 and another two were discovered days later, all an area surrounding Tall Grass Lane.

Police said the dogs were running loose and there is no evidence to suggest criminal intent.

Animal Protection League of New Mexico is offering the reward for information leading to an arrest or prosecution in the case.

Tips can be reported by calling 877-548-6263 or to the Curry County Sheriff’s Office 769-2335.
