Last outing: The Hounds built a 20-point, second-half lead and held off Southwestern Oklahoma 82-71 on Monday at Weatherford, Okla., snapping a three-game losing streak.

Notes: Monday’s win ended a seven-game losing streak overall to Southwestern, dating to a 72-59 win over the Mustangs at Greyhound Arena on Jan. 18, 2003. The Hounds had lost five in a row at Weatherford, with the last win there a 72-54 decision on Nov. 22, 1997. … Commerce beat the Hounds 73-64 at home last season. … The Lions’ only loss this season was at Texas A&M-Kingsville (72-62). They are 2-1 in crossovers against the South, with home wins over Abilene Christian and Angelo State. … Commerce’s leading scorers are 6-2 junior G Brian Singleton (13.8 ppg), 6-6 senior F Ronnie Morgan (13.4) and 5-11 sophomore G Brad Hambrick (12.3). Notes: The Lions are 1-2 in crossovers against the South, winning Monday at home over Angelo State 88-80 in overtime. … Commerce has been outscored by around 13 points a game this season (75-62). … Scoring leaders are 5-11 senior G Nakazi Glover (15.5 ppg) and 5-9 junior G Mattilyn McIntyre (12.5). Glover is shooting 93 percent (28-for-30) from the free throw line, while McIntyre is 11-for-26 from 3-point range. Commerce leads the LSC in free throw shooting (78 percent). … The Lions won last year’s matchup 73-68 at Commerce. … ENMU hosts Texas Woman’s (4-2) in another crossover on Monday night, then returns from the holiday break Jan. 2 to take on Fort Lewis at Greyhound Arena.
