Press release: Man arrested in homicide

On Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at approximately 8:54 AM Officers of the Clovis Police Department were dispatched to the 1400 Block of West 10th Street in Clovis in reference to a possible gunshot victim. Upon the Officers arrival a victim was found lying on the floor of the apartment located at 1408 W. 10th Street with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The victim appeared to have been deceased for several hours. The victim was positively identified as 48-year-old Gary Gill of Clovis. The victim’s family was notified of his death prior to his name being released. The body of Mr. Gary Gill was transported to the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator in Albuquerque, New Mexico for autopsy due to the manner of death.
