Airmen capture spirit of season

Santa came early, although without his reindeer, to the New Mexico Christian Children’s Home Dec. 6.

The home held its annual Christmas party with the Cannon Air Force Base Medical Group. The members of the medical group and their families had purchased gifts for specific children — those in the custody of the home, those in the home’s single parent program and those whose parents are staff members.

The children and teenagers presented a musical performance as a thank-you to the Cannon representatives, and then Santa, or Master Sgt. Dale Beaty, handed out gifts.

The airmen and their families also took time to visit with the children and enjoy snacks.
