Fair attendance up about 10 percent

Fair ticket sales jumped more than $15,000 this year and attendance was up around 10 percent.

According to figures presented to the county commission Tuesday by Finance Manager Mark Lansford, the gate sale increase accounted to about 21 percent, taking the total from almost $72,000 to more than $87,000.

Carnival receipts also rose by about 9 percent, accounting for $62,124 and Motocross receipts showed an increase of about $250.
