Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
Rod Savage, vocational agriculture instructor at Portales High School, was named best agriculture teacher in New Mexico by the state Agricultural Education Teachers Association during their July 20-Aug.t 3 conference in Albuquerque, according to Portales news archives. He was presented the "Ag Teacher of the Year" plaque by Kenneth Taylor, president of the association.
