ENMU planning emergency drill

Eastern New Mexico University has scheduled an emergency planning drill for 8-11 a.m. today, although it may end before 11 a.m.

The drill involves Portales and campus police trying to apprehend an actor portraying a shooter in the Campus Union Building.

Lea Hall, the College of Business and the Campus Union Building will be locked down during the drill, and all people in those buildings will be “sheltered in place.”

No one will be allowed to enter or leave those buildings or areas during the drill.

This is the first in a series of exercises ENMU planned for the 2009-10 school year.
