Knights of Columbus make donation

The Knights of Columbus Council 4205 of Clovis donated $10,000 to Archbishop Michael Sheehan on June 2 in Albuquerque.

Deputy Knight Antonio Gutierrez said the money was raised from twice-weekly bingo games from the past year.

Gutierrez said the group donated the money to the archbishop to train new preachers.

“We’re a nonprofit Catholic organization,” Gutierrez said. “So we wanted the money to go them.”

Knights of Columbus Council 4205 has about 180 members in the council.
