Zias add assistant soccer coach

Eastern New Mexico University added former West Virginia Wesleyan College midfielder Katie Schubert as an assistant coach.

Shubert, a two-time West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player of the year, played for the Real Colorado Cougars of the W-League and the Atlantic City Diablos of the Women’s Professional Soccer League.

Schubert has coached youth teams for the United States’ Soccer Foundation’s Selection

The Zias finished 9-10 in 2008, with a 3-7 record in the Lone Star Conference.
