Buzzer-beater puts Texico back in title game

Freedom New Mexico: Kevin Wilson Texico forward Lucas Walthers shoots over Mesilla Valley's Marcus Krohn in the first half of Friday's Class 2A semifinal at The Pit. Walthers scored 22 points in Texico's 58-57 win.

Jose Posada banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Texico to a 58-57 win over Mesilla Valley early Friday morning in a Class 2A boys state semifinal game.

Texico trailed 49-36 with six minutes to go.

Lucas Walthers led Texico with 22 points and Seth Bailey added 16.
