NMSBA nears

Students will begin the language arts and math sections of the New Mexico Standards Based Assessment March 24-26. When school resumes after spring break, students will take the science and social studies section April 7-9.

Nine-weeks tests

Teachers have had students finishing projects and assignments as they begin reviewing for their third-quarter tests Thursday and Friday. Principal Steve Harris encourages students and parents to check grades and follow a plan for continued success this school year. The last quarter passes quite rapidly, and he encourages the students to take advantage of tutoring if they need just a little more help to master a class. Harris wants all of the junior high students to learn all they can.

Track season opens

Both the boys’ and girls’ track teams open the season March 19 in Texico. There will be no meets during the NMSBA testing week.

Spring break release

Students will be dismissed March 27 at regular time for spring break.
