Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

About 5 p.m. Feb. 2 an officer responded to a residence in the 1300 block of east 14th Street for a report of a public affray.

A woman said her former boyfriend came to her home to get their child’s toothbrush, argued with her and chased her into the house, slamming a door and breaking a window.

She said he also got into an altercation with her boyfriend.

The officer noted intent to seek a warrant against the former boyfriend for battery.

About 10 p.m. Feb. 3 an officer responded to an undisclosed residence for a juvenile problem.

A woman told the officer a juvenile male living in her home had been skipping school and she was suspicious he may have been doing drugs or alcohol.

The boy told the officer he had been skipping school, drank a few sips of alcohol with his friends and smoked some green stuff.

The officer issued the youth a citation for minor allowing himself to be served.

About 9 a.m. Feb. 4 an officer responded to a school in the 400 block of Schepps Boulevard for a battery report.

A man who had been detained by security told the officer he and his former girlfriend were arguing and he accidentally spilled a hot cup of coffee on her.

A security officer said the woman refused medical attention and didn’t want the police involved.

The officer noted intent to seek a warrant for battery on a household member.

About 5 p.m. Feb. 4 an officer responded to a residence in the 3000 block of Duckworth Avenue for theft report.

A man said his daughter saw a man take his dog from the back yard.

The girl said she saw the male holding their male and female Chihuahua and said when he realized he had been seen, he turned to leave with the dogs and the male dog bit him in the lip.

She said he dropped the dog and ran, still holding the other dog, crashing through a wooden gate.
