United Way approaches deadline

Friday is the deadline for donating to The United Way of Eastern New Mexico — still 15 percent away from its goal of $627,000, according to a news release.

So far, the campaign has raised $530,857, which has been donated or pledged by individuals, business owners and corporations.

Donations to United Way help families in Roosevelt and Curry counties with education, income and health.

Curry County has raised $453,333 of the $537,000 goal and Roosevelt County has raised $79,523 of the $90,000 goal.
