Students on honor band
Band Director Cindy Stone reports that Maria-Renee Lops, Kaleigh Johns, and Hannah Wagner earned spots on the Southeast New Mexico Music Educators Association’s All-District Honor Band. Students competed against seventh-, eighth-, and ninth-grade musicians from even some 5A schools in the district. Wagner was second chair flute, Johns earned sixth chair flute, and Lops took fourth chair alto saxophone. The Honor Band played in Hobbs last Friday.
