Udall will visit area schools

U.S. Rep. Tom Udall, D-N.M., is visiting local schools to help students and families learn about service academies.

Udall, a candidate for the U.S. Senate, is visiting 13 New Mexico high schools with representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Students may apply for a nomination from Udall to the institutions.

On Sept. 12, he will visit Clovis High School at 8:30 a.m. and Portales High School at 10:30 a.m.
