Baskett makes Eagles' 53-man roster

Clovis’ Hank Baskett was one of six wide receivers on the Philadelphia Eagles’ 53-man roster, announced Saturday on the team’s Web site.

The Eagles cut 12 players — including four wide receivers — and put two more on injured reserve to get down league-mandated roster size for the regular season.

In his third season, the 2001 Clovis High grad caught eight passes for 108 yards during four preseason games.

The Eagles (2-2 in preseason) host the St. Louis Rams a week from today in their season opener.

Baskett, an undrafted free agent from New Mexico, is listed second on the depth chart at one wide receiver spot behind Kevin Curtis, who is injured.

Baskett is also a special teams standout for the Eagles.
