The district attorney’s office plans to seek adult sanctions against three teens charged in connection with two home invasions.

District Attorney Matt Chandler said cases against Alex Romero, 16, Mark Aragon, 15, and Oscar Hernandez, 16, will be presented to a grand jury in the next 10 days.

Contingent on the findings of the grand jury, the prosecution plans to file a motion to seek adult sanctions, Chandler said.

If convicted as juveniles they could face being placed in the custody of the Children Youth and Families division until age 21.

The three are charged with aggravated burglary and conspiracy to commit a felony in connection with a July 29 Clovis home invasion.

Aragon and Hernandez were also charged Wednesday with similar charges in connection with July 25 and July 27 Portales home invasions.

The three are being held at the Curry County Juvenile Detention Center, officials have said.

Two adult males were also arrested in connection with the investigation. Police have said members of the group are being investigated for possible involvement in at least seven home invasions in Clovis, Muleshoe and Roosevelt and Curry Counties during the second half of July.
