Early voting numbers down

Early primary election voting ends at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Curry County residents may vote in person at the courthouse or the North Plains Mall, according to Chief Deputy County Clerk Coni Jo Lyman.

The primary is Tuesday.

As of Wednesday, 617 people have voted in person at the courthouse and at the mall, Lyman said.

In the 2006 primary elections, more than 1,200 Curry County residents voted in person in the early primary election, Lyman said.

She said mail-in ballots are due back at the clerk’s office before 7 p.m. on election day.
