Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
At 7:37 p.m. Jan. 22, an officer observed a person driving erratically near 9th and Main streets.
The driver ran a stop sign and drove onto the curb into the grass. The driver failed field sobriety tests.
He was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, no proof of insurance, expired registration and open container.

At 2:40 a.m. Jan. 23, police responded to a report of criminal damage at a business in the 500 block of Main Street.
Police found a large concrete block had been thrown through the front door glass.
Damage was estimated at $200

Police responded to a report of battery at 11:45 a.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of Sycamore.
Personnel at the school told police a student had pushed and lunged at a teacher, who was trying to break up a fight.
Police planned to obtain a warrant for the arrest of a 13-year-old boy for battery on school personnel.
