Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
At 11:30 a.m. Jan. 15, a Clovis police officer reported losing his radar unit. He told officers that he was moving equipment from his police motorcycle to his police car.
After driving to the other side of town, he realized that he had left the radar unit on top of the car. He retraced his route, but was unable to find the equipment.
As of Thursday, the radar unit had not been located, according to officials.

Police responded to a report of shoplifting at 12:15 p.m. Jan. 17 at a store in the 1200 block of West 21st Street.
The assistant manager told police two women in the store had been seen shoplifting. Police found makeup and shampoo in one of the women’s purses and issued her a citation for shoplifting.
Both women were issued criminal trespass notifications.

Police responded to a report of a public affray at 11:15 p.m. Jan. 17.
A man told police his son had been “acting wild” and the two ended up in a scuffle. Police located the son in an apartment in the 900 block of Cameo Street.
Upon being placed in handcuffs, he began resisting officers, kicking and spitting in an officer’s face.
He was arrested for battery on a police officer, assault on a police officer, and resisting, evading or obstructing a police officer.
