Tax aides are sought

Three to five additional volunteers are needed to be trained and certified as tax return preparers for several non-profit programs that provide free filing service for eastern New Mexico residents, according to a press release from United Way of Eastern New Mexico.

After training, volunteers can work at their convenience from February through April 15. To receive the January training, volunteers must commit to working a minimum of 20 hours during that time. Volunteers are supported by a supervisor and all returns are reviewed before filing.
