Dairy disaster aid sign-ups set
Eligible dairy producers can sign up for the Dairy Disaster Assistance Program (DDAP-III) at local USDA Farm Service Agency service centers beginning Monday.
The $16 million DDAP-III is aimed to help dairy producers recover production losses resulting from a variety of adverse weather conditions from Jan. 1, 2005 to Feb. 28, 2007. To be eligible, dairy producers must have suffered losses in primary and contiguous counties declared or designated a natural disaster

Udall aide to visit Portales
Christopher Neubauer, a staff member for U.S. Rep. Tom Udall D-N.M. will hold constituent office hours in Portales and Clovis on Wednesday. Anyone desiring to discuss issues related to Congress or the federal government is welcome to stop in.
From 1-2 p.m. he will be at Portales City Hall, 100 W. First. From 3-5 p.m. he will be at the Clovis-Carver Public Library, 701 N. Main St.

Church holding toy giveaway
The Third and Kilgore Church of Christ is holding its second annual Free Toy Giveaway from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. The community is welcome.
Free clothes from baby sizes to adult will also be available at the event. In addition, the church has clothing available every week of the year for those in need. Come by the church from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays.
