Book week events taking place

Children’s Book Week is taking place this week at the Portales Public Library.

Books and Babies will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for Mother Goose rhymes and songs.

Preschool storytime meets at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. every Wednesday. This week’s theme is favorite stories, and children will be able to make a “Favorite Book Leaf” to hang on the Book Tree.

Afterschool at the Library will meet Thursday. They will discuss favorite books, hear a story about autumn, and create Thanksgiving cards with leaf rubbings.
