Religion Digest: Church holding annual sale

The Trinity United Methodist Church’s Womens Group will be holding its annual Fall Bake, Craft and Rummage Sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday.

The sale will be held in the multi-purpose room of the church, which is located at 1320 W. 21st St. Proceeds of the sale will be used to help support local, national and global missions.

Mortgage burning party planned

There will be a Mortgage Burning Party at noon Sunday at Central Christian Church, 14th and Mitchell, in celebration of the church having paid off their mortgage debt.

A duplicate of the church’s mortgage will be burned during the festivities, which will include a turkey roast.
