Q. Describe what your job entails?

A. Examining titles to real (estate) property from when the land belonged to the federal government up to the current owner to see if there are any unpaid mortgages, liens, judgments or hiatus in the title.

Q. What is a typical day on the job like for you?

A. I spend most of my day looking at deeds and mortgages to make sure they are properly executed. Examine surveys to make sure improvements are on current properties and don’t overlap on somebody else’s property.

Q. Why did you choose this job?

A. When I was a young bride and newly married I needed a job back in 1946. I love what I do. We (Roberson and her husband) just had to have jobs to make a living for ourselves and this is the one that was open for me.

Q. What type of training, if any, do you need for your job?

A. On the job training.

Q. What do you enjoy most about your job?

A. I suppose it’s the interaction with people and the fact that when we find problems, I enjoy being able to correct those problems and have our clients leave with a smile on their face.
