Clovis woman given six years for drug charges

Sylvia Martinez, 38, of Clovis was sentenced to six years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to drug charges.

Martinez will also receive supervised probation and parole for five years for trafficking by possession with intent to distribute cocaine, according to a release from the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s office.

The charges stem from a December 2005 search by the New Mexico State Police.

Judge Ted Hartley presided over the sentencing hearing.
