Hound soccer ranked

For the first time in the four-year history of the program, the Eastern New Mexico University men’s soccer team is ranked in the Midwest Region, earning a No. 8 spot this week.

All five Southwest Soccer Conference teams were ranked in the top 10, with Midwestern State second, West Texas A&M fifth, Northeastern State seventh and Missouri Southern ninth.

The Hounds (2-1) open SSC play on Friday at Missouri Southern.
