ENMR-Plateau annual meeting set

ENMR-Plateau is holding its cooperative membership meeting at 10 a.m. April 21 in Santa Rosa in the high school gymnasium, according to an ENMR-Plateau news release.

Trementina and White Lakes areas.

The cooperative’s Interactive Television (ITV) system will be in use for the meeting, allowing cooperative members to participate and not travel to Santa Rosa, the release reads. ITV locations are at Clovis Community College, Logan High School and Clayton High School.

Registration starts at 8 a.m. and must be completed by 10 a.m. to be eligible to take part in the business meeting.

Presentation slated for local developing

A free workshop about business development opportunities in downtown Clovis is planned for 10 a.m. to noon May 22 at the Bert Cabiness City Government Center, according to a workshop flier.

Jeff Mitchell of the University of New Mexico’s Bureau of Business and Economic Research will present Clovis’ Community Economic Assessment.

Mitchell will present an analysis of Clovis’ economic strengths and weaknesses, explain how Clovis’ economy stands in relation to neighboring communities and the state, look at trends, examine demographic and market data, and provide key findings and business development recommendations, the flier reads.

The Public Forum Presentation is being presented by Clovis MainStreet in partnership with New Mexico MainStreet.

Three afternoon sessions also are being developed , according to Clovis MainStreet Executive Director Robyne Beaubien.

Rural Development workshop planned

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development agency will hold a workshop Wednesday in Clovis for individuals and businesses in rural communities to learn about financing for renewable energy projects and value-added grants, according to an agency news release.

The workshop is from 8 a.m. to noon at the Clovis Community College Town Hall Auditorium.

Application deadlines are May 18 for grants and July 2 for loans.

The workshop will provide information about applying for assistance.
