* In District 3-1A action, Fort Sumner blew out Dora 34-22 at Fort Sumner.
Alex Owens and DeLane Luce led the Vixens (13-6, 5-1) with 7 points each.
Down 28-10 with 7:10 left to play, the Lady Coyotes went on a 10-0 run.
Dora’s Audra Pinkston led all scorers with 15 points, but none of her teammates added more than three.
* Also in District 3-1A, host Melrose held Floyd scoreless in the second overtime for a 51-42 victory in District 3-1A play.
Zanessa Dodd scorched the net for 23 points for the Lady Buffaloes (14-8, 3-2), going 10-for-19 from the line. Taniel Roberts added 10Ò points.
Blair Jaramillo and Tori Tucker each had 13 points for the Lady Broncos.
* Logan rallied in the final quarter to edge Clovis Christian 45-41 in District 4-1A at CCS to pull into a tie with the Lady Eagles for second place in the standings behind Grady.
Jessica Aguilera led a balanced attack for the Lady Longhorns with 13 points, including two 3-pointers. Delani Hazen and Laken Humble each finished with 10.
CCS (15-9, 5-3) led 25-21 at halftime and 37-35 heading into the final period, but managed only four points.
“We didn’t play well in the fourth quarter; we turned the ball over several times,” CCS coach Max Kralicek said. “We just needed to finish strong, and we didn’t do it.”
Sidnee Pool had three 3-pointers and 12 points for the Lady Eagles, while Jennifer Schaap scored 10.
* Junior post Brooke Bailey led three players in double figures with 14 points and the Lady Wolverines remained unbeaten in District 6-2A with a 60-33 thumping of visiting Clayton.
Freshman Katlin Luscombe added 12 points and junior Faith Martin 11 for Texico (19-4, 4-0). Lindsey Fluhman led all scorers with 18 points for the Lady Yellowjackets.
“As far as a total 32 minutes, it was a great team effort,” Texico coach Keith Durham said. “What I was excited about was we had a lot of balanced scoring.”
