TUCSON, Ariz. — Sophomore transfer Travis Reid, a 2005 Clovis High grad, shot a 2-under-par 69 Monday to lead New Mexico State’s golf team in the first round of the season-opening PING Arizona Intercollegiate.
The Aggies shot a first-round team score of 5-over 287 and were 11th in the 16-team field.
Playing despite back pain, Reid collected seven birdies in his opening round.
