A special basketball treat is in store for local fans tonight when the Eastern New Mexico University freshman basketball team meets the Clovis (KCLV) Rangers former New Mexico State AAU champions. The two clubs will meet in the 6 p.m. curtain-raiser prior to the Eastern New Mexico-Western game at 8.

The Rangers feature two former Eastern basketball greats – Roy Franse and Bill Griggs. In addition to these stellar performers, the Rangers boast the high-scoring Bruce Davis former West Texas star. The Rangers topped the Pups earlier this season in a thrilling down-to-the-wire 77-69 game.
