The sentencing hearing in the Jerry Fuller case scheduled for Friday in Roosevelt County District Court has been continued until Jan. 17.
According to 9th Judicial District Attorney Matt Chandler, the courts postponed the hearing again because of the difficulty juggling schedules before the holidays.
Fuller, 34, has pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder and kidnapping and other charges in connection with the 2005 deaths of Odis and Doris Newman of Portales. He faces 127 years in prison, according to the terms of the plea agreement.
