Clovis detective hired by DA's office

The 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office has hired Clovis police detective Dan Aguilar as a senior investigator.

Aguilar has been with the Clovis Police Department for approximately 17 years. He leaves the position of sergeant of detectives from the Clovis Police Department to join the District Attorney’s Office.

Aguilar will start his new job Monday.

“Mr. Aguilar brings a wealth of training and experience to our office,” 9th Judicial District Attorney Matt Chandler said. “He has a gift for investigating crimes against children and sexual assaults, which he will use to assist our prosecutors as they prepare their cases. We feel extremely fortunate to have Mr. Aguilar join our team.”

Aguilar will assist local law enforcement agencies with investigations of crimes against children and sexual assaults, and he will also remain a member of the 9th Judicial District’s Major Crime Unit, Chandler said.
