Odeis Franklin Boyd Sr., 87, of Oklahoma and formerly of Clovis, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at home.
Born in Strawn, Texas, he graduated from Wewoka High School in Oklahoma in 1939. He was a 27-year Clovis resident. He retired from the Army.
He married Averil Isabel Rozel of Oklahoma in 1944. They had five children.
He was preceded in death by a son, Odeis Franklin Boyd Jr.; his parents, Carroll E. Boyd Sr. and Lou Cretia Whitner Boyd; a sister, Gladys; and three brothers, Dr. Elvin Boyd, Carroll E. Boyd Jr. and Gene Boyd.
Survivors include four daughters, Judy Maynard (and husband, Don) of Moore, Okla., Christina Hutchinson (Jim) of Lawton, Okla., Carolyn Johnson (Mike) of Longview, Texas, and Mary Wells (Henry) of Wewoka, Okla.; eight grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are by the John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel in Moore, Okla.
