Loyce “Alliene” Jensen, 72, of Katy, Texas, died Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Christus St. Catherine Hospital in Katy.
She was born Jan. 23, 1934, to Steve Allen Pillow and Althea Suther Pillow in Bovina, Texas, and raised in Clovis. She married James L. Jensen on Feb. 1, 1957, in Clovis.
She was primarily a homemaker, and formerly a cashier and telephone operator in Clovis. She worked in retail sales in Denver and at the U.S. Embassy compound in Manila, Philippines. She was a Family Services volunteer at Lowry Air Force Base in Colorado for three years.
Family members said she enjoyed ceramics, knitting and sewing, and collected old clothing patterns.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant son, Michael Jensen.
Survivors include her husband; her daughters, Debra Lane of Boise, Idaho, and Vickie Gant (and husband, Randy) of Clovis; her sons, Vincent Jensen of Katy and Stuart Jensen (Karen) of Brighton, Colo.; her sister, Joyce Pelton (Bob) of Santa Barbara, Calif.; brothers, Dutch Thatcher (Silvia) of Santa Teresa and Bobby Thatcher (Sissy) of Clovis; nine grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren.
Stuart Jensen will officiate services.
