Chris Cook, 51, of Amarillo, formerly of Clovis, died Saturday, March 11, 2006.
Born Sept. 11, 1954, in Roswell, he had lived in Amarillo for more than a year. He was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and former employee of the Veteran’s Administration. He enjoyed working on cars, and was a loving, kind and polite man who cared about everyone around him, family member said.
He was preceded in death by two granddaughters, a brother and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila; his sons, Ryan of Phoenix and Cody of Amarillo; a daughter, Jessica of Amarillo; brothers Cliff of Amarillo and Curt; three sisters, Dixie of Alabama, and Patti and Paula of Dallas; an uncle, Bill Cook of Shwartz Creek, Mich.; an aunt, Myrtle Cherry of Dallas; one grandson, Dylan Cook; 17 nieces and nephews, and three great-nephews.
The Rev. Todd Blackhurst will officiate services. Burial will take place at Llano Cemetery, Amarillo.
Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel, Amarillo.
