Martin, Lorraine C.

Lorraine Case Martin, 79, of Clovis, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born March 4, 1926, to George and Mary Daffin Case in Bentley, Okla. She married Glynn B. Martin on June 27, 1949, in Amarillo. She graduated from Murray State University in Tishomingo, Okla. She was a physics and chemistry teacher in Amarillo and later was a loan officer at the Citizens Bank in Tucumcari.

Family members said she enjoyed playing bridge and golfing. She was involved in several women’s sororities, and was a member of the women’s auxiliary at the American Legion Conchas Dam.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include her nieces, Phyllis Dandridge of Phoenix, Linda Proulx and Patsy Miller, both of Temple, Texas, Sue Blaker of Atoka, Okla., Brenda Eaves of Bentley, Okla., and Tina Kemether of Silver Lakes, Calif.; and many friends and other relatives.
