No injuries reported in house fire
A one-story house fire Saturday afternoon closed traffic on the two west lanes of Prince Street for about one hour, according to Clovis Fire Department Lt. Ricky Mitchell.
One room in the single-story, wood home located on the west side of the 1000 block of Prince Street was destroyed, and the rest of the structure sustained smoke and heat damage, Mitchell said.
The fire was caused by children inside the home playing with matches, and was extinguished within 30 minutes, said Mitchell.
There were no injuries and a parent was in the home at the time of the blaze, Mitchell reported.
