Harris, Hugh

Hugh Harris, 56, of Clovis, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

He was born June 19, 1949, in Grace, Miss, to Ernest and Rebecca Mayfield Harris. He worked as a Custodian for ENMRSH and was a member of St. John’s Baptist Church and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ike Harris; and two sisters, Mennette Wesley and Ethel Mae Harris.

Survivors include his five sisters, Doris McGinnis Martin of Clovis, Lydia Hager of Clovis, Annette Wesley of Houston, Texas, Earlene Harris of Clovis and Bobbie Harris of Greenville, Miss.; three brothers, Dean Harris of LeRobbins, Ga., Ernest Harris of New Haven, Conn., and Archie Lee Harris of Greenville, Miss.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Terry Martin is officiating.

Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.

Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home Clovis.
