District attorney's briefing from Dec. 19

Matthew Chandler, Ninth Judicial District Attorney, announced today that the investigation of the homicide of Laura McNaughton continues to progress.

Over the weekend, detectives from Ninth Judicial District Major Crimes Unit conducted additional interviews and also collected additional items of evidence. Said items will be delivered to the New Mexico Crime Lab today for further forensic testing.

At this time, no arrests have been made. District Attorney, Matthew Chandler stated, “The Major Crimes Unit and law enforcement officials thank the community for their patience and cooperation as this investigation continues.”
