Melrose school program Tuesday

The Melrose Junior High and Melrose High School program “Sounds of the Season” will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the the Melrose School commons. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

Lindsey holds Christmas show

The Lindsey Elementary School’s Christmas Music Show will be presented at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Livingston Gym (old Portales Junior High School gym). The sixth grade band and vocal music classes will perform traditional and contemporary holiday songs. The public is welcome.

Telephone coop offers scholarships

Roosevelt County Rural Telephone Cooperative is accepting applications for $500 its Education Foundation Scholarships for high school seniors.

The scholarships are for one year subject to confirmation that the requirement of grade point and enrollment as a full time student have been met. They are available to members receiving service from RCRTC (prefixes 253, 273, 276, 274, 477, 478, 675, or 482) and their immediate families. Deadline is Feb. 10.
