Edna Ray Wagner, 80, of Clovis, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at Laurel Plains Healthcare in Clovis.
She was born May 9, 1925, in St. Vrain to William “Bill” and Minnie Thurman Glen.
Family members said she was a true daughter of the pioneers, and was the granddaughter of some of Curry County’s earliest settlers. She piloted the Program for Child Support Enforcement Division in the state of New Mexico. She was of the Baptist faith and loved gardening and crafts, family members.
She married Lloyd Wagner on Dec. 4, 1970, in Clovis. She worked on the railroad as a mail clerk during World War II. She was municipal judge of Logan and owned the Cottage Gift Shop.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Harold; and two sisters, Irene and Jess.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Hays (and wife, Bambi) of Clovis and Shawn Hays of Clovis; three daughters, Susan Slaughter (Bennie) of Sante Fe, Jill Mulhair (Johnny) of Clovis and Becky Moore (Barry) of Lubbock; a step-son, David Wagner (Jill) of Kentucky.; two step-daughters, Kathy of California and Susan of Kentucky; a brother, Bill Glen of Tucumcari; a sister, Lee McDaniel of Clovis; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
