Oscar “Marvin” Call, 85, of Clovis died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, in Corrales.
He was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Quay, Okla., to Robert Lee and Celeste Hedges Call.
He graduated from Clovis High School in 1939. He married Ina Gaddis March 17, 1942, in Texarkana, Ark. He was a carpenter at Local 1245 and worked on many commercial buildings in the Clovis area. Family members said he enjoyed fishing and taking his grandchildren water-skiing.
He is survived by his wife of Clovis; a son, Rex Call (and wife Ellen) of Corrales; three grandchildren, Suzanne Byrd (Jeff), Edward Call of Chama and Kathryn Kurtz (David) of Fort Collins, Colo.; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Zackery Byrd of Artesia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers.
Rev. Brad Reeves will officiate services.
Internment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa Okla.
Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Hospice in Albuquerque or Clovis.
