Ira Curtis Vibbard, 67, of Dexter died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, surrounded by his family at his home.

He was born Sept. 17, 1937, in Portales to Walter Vibbard and Nettie Powell Vibbard.

He married Cheryl Adams on Dec. 5, 1976 in Clovis. He

moved to Roswell from Clovis 25 years ago.

Family members said he loved to work with his hands and was a master craftsman. He loved to build and fly radio-controlled airplanes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Adams; children, Ira Curtis Vibbard, Jr. of San Bernadino, Calif., Larry James Vibbard of Roswell, Stephanie Lyn Berry of Chandler, Ariz. and Sherri Christine Waters of Vancouver, Wash.; grandchildren, Amy Rachelle Vibbard of Roswell, Chelsie Elizabeth Vibbard of Vancouver, Wash., Eathan Walter Link of Vancouver, Wash., Mathew Paul Berry, Autum Rae Berry, both of Roswell, and Cody Curtis Vibbard of San Bernadino, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Aaron and Madison; sister, Arlene Sena of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother, Lyndon Vibbard of Clovis; and a host of friends.

Arrangements are by Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory.
