West Texas beats ENMU for seventh-straight win

CANYON, Texas — West Texas A&M extended its winning streak to seven matches and completed a season-sweep of Eastern New Mexico University Thursday night with a 30-24, 30-28, 30-18 victory over the Zias in Lone Star Conference South Division volleyball at The Box.

Rachel Altman collected 15 kills, eight digs and five block assists for the Lady Buffs (23-7, 5-1 South), who have won 22 of their last 25 matches since a 1-4 start. Jessica Scherr added 14 kills and Megan Spivey 10 for WT.

The Zias (7-16, 2-4) got 13 kills and three block assists from senior middle blocker Lindsay Schiely. Freshman outside hitter Rhea Wortman added eight kills and a team-leading 10 digs.
