Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

Police responded Friday to a local trucking company where a driver allegedly threatened another man with a long piece of pipe.

The complainant said the subject came into his office and asked to see the load sheet. When the request was denied, the subject exited the office and returned with the piece of metal pipe.

The subject told police his wife was scheduled for surgery the next day in Lubbock, and the company was supposed to work with him and give him loads to the east. Instead, he was given a load to Wisconsin, and he was not happy.

The subject was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police responded Saturday to the 2900 block of Mabry Drive in reference to a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.

The driver of the bike said he was cruising along when a car pulled out in front of him. He said he laid the bike out to avoid the collision, suffering road burn and damage to his bike. A passenger on the bike also suffered arm, leg and upper body injuries.

The driver of the car said he did not see the bike until he pulled out of the parking lot. The driver of the car was cited for failure to yield.

The motorcyclist and passenger were taken to the hospital.

Police were dispatched Friday to the 100 block of Zia Place in reference to a criminal damage report.

The complainant showed the officer two windows on his car had been shot out.

Damage was estimated at $500.
