Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
About 1,400 passes have been distributed for today’s Base Realignment and Closure Commission hearing, which begins at 8:30 a.m. at Marshall Junior High.
Space is available for those who wish to attend four overflow venues broadcasting video feed, said Stacey Martin, president of the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce.
No passes will be needed to enter the two Marshall gyms or the two church arenas at 16th and Pile, Martin said.
“I would hope that people plan to get there before the hearing begins so they don’t cause a disruption,” Martin said.
If seats in the auditorium are left vacant, organizers will ask those seated in overflow venues to take seats in the auditorium.
Officials have asked those with passes to the Marshall auditorium be seated by 8:15 a.m.
